Wayne V. Dabes

Wayne V. Dabes, 63, of Preston passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Autumn Lake at Chesapeake Woods. He was born on October 25, 1961 in Brockport, New York to Joseph Dabes and Vicki Watrous Sappington. 

Mr. Dabes graduated from Dryden High School in New York. He later worked in the dietary department at Autumn Lake at Chesapeake Woods. Mr. Dabes enjoyed gardening, cooking, camping, playing his guitar and riding his motorcycle.

Mr. Dabes is survived by his daughters Stephanie Caraker and husband Kevin of Preston, Kimberly Dabes of Sharptown and Erin Dabes of Preston, eight grandchildren, his father Joseph Dabes and Kathy Brennan of Cortland, New York and his mother Vicki Sappington and husband Wayne of North Carolina, a brother James Sappington, and two sisters Rebecca Sappington of North Carolina and Cheryl Walter and husband Eric of Washington State. He is also survived by two nephews and a niece. 

Services are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
