Wilford I. Jones

Wilford I. Jones, 85, of Goshen, NY passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Elant Nursing Home in Goshen, NY. He was born in Church Creek, Maryland on November 16, 1927 and was the son of the late Thomas I. and Frances Saunders Jones.
Mr. Jones attended schools in Cambridge, MD. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and served in the Pacific Theater. Mr. Jones was a self employed master electrician in New Jersey from 1960 to 1990. He retired in 1990 and moved to Florida and in 2006 moved to New Jersey. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Bulter, NJ and a life member of the VFW.
He is survived by two daughters, Mary Reilly of Cooper City, Florida, Lucy Esposito of Tamarac, Florida and a son, William M. Jones of Goshen, NY, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Jones is preceded in death by three sisters Loraine J. Moore, Doris Warner and Addie Oliphant.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 1p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. with Pastor Christina Blake officiating. Interment will follow at Old Trinity Churchyard. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
