Willard Ward Schuyler

Willard W. Schuyler, Jr. 80, of Cambridge passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at UMSMC at Easton. He was born in Cambridge on October 12, 1935 and was a son of the late Willard W. and Elessa Fouth Schuyler.

He graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1953. On November 24, 1990, he married the former Katherine Wilson, who passed away on July 9, 2002. Mr. Schuyler served in the U.S. Navy. In his earlier years, he worked with Prudential Insurance Company, worked on the water and most of his life he was a carpenter with Charles E. Brohawn and later with Willow Construction. Mr. Schuyler was an avid hunter, enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was a member of Choptank Memorial Post 7460 VFW and the American Legion Post 91.

He is survived by two daughters Tammy S. Doege and husband Chris of Taylors Island, Teresa M. Schuyler of Cambridge, a son Willard W. Schuyler III of Smyrna, DE, four grandchildren Devin M. Doege, Elessa M. Doege, William C. Tolley and Koby A. Tolley, a sister Jesse Dollinger of Snow Hill, a sister Alice Foxwell and husband Wendell of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Schuyler is preceded in death by a brother Larry Nathan Schuyler and two sisters Katherine Fleetwood and Shirley Brunner.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Choptank Memorial Post 7460 VFW, 115 Sandy Hill Road, Cambridge, MD 21613.
