Bill graduated from Hurlock High School. For most of his life he had been engaged in farming. He had also worked as an electrician. For about 10 years he had worked for the Laurel School District until he retired in 1987. On March 30, 1991 he was married to the former Olive Tyler. Bill was a member of Cambridge Lodge No. 1272 B.P.O.E. and also was a member of the sons of the American Legion. He had enjoyed working in his yard and taking care of animals. Bill had been in failing health since two months and had been a patient at DGH since October 14 where he passed away on Friday evening.
Survivors include his wife Olive T. Bramble of Cambridge one sister Anna Collison of Rhodesdale, one brother George Bramble of Seaford and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers Joseph Bramble and Gerald Bramble.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00 AM at the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with the Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during the hour preceding the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dorchester Co. Humane Society, P.O. Box 132, Cambridge, MD 21613 or to a favorite charity. Pallbearers will be Burton Wheedelton, Walter Lee Travers, Jr., David Collison, Otis Bramble, Mace Tall and Paul Tyler.
