William Charles Bauman

William Charles Bauman, 90, of East New Market passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Talbot Hospice House in Easton. He was born on December 25, 1932 in Amityville, New York and was a son of the late Charles A. Bauman and Violet Balogh McManus.

Mr. Bauman served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On July 18, 1970, he married he former Sarah Johnson. He owned Baltimore Seal Company until the mid 90's and then he worked with Dorchester Associates until he retired. Mr. Bauman enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, boating, gardening and eating as many crabs as possible. He was a lifetime member of the Kingsville/Perry Hall Lions Club and Cambridge Lions Club. Mr. Bauman was also a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife Sarah Bauman of East New Market, a daughter Barbara Tyler and husband JW of East New Market, three grandchildren Greg Tyler, Justin Tyler and Anna Tyler, a sister Rosemary Bessler of Springfield, OR and several nieces and nephews.  

Pallbearers will be JW Tyler, Greg Tyler, Justin Tyler, Glenn Bramble, Carl Hughes, and Jerry Gordon.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 12:30pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge. Interment will follow at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11:30 to 12:30. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Cambridge Lions Club, P.O. Box 104, Cambridge, MD 21613.
