William L. Fitzgerald
March 7, 1917 — April 13, 2010
William L. Fitzgerald, 83, of East New Market passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at The Pines in Easton. He was born at Riverside Farm near Aireys on March 7, 1927 and was a son of the late Olin H. Willey and Marion L. Stevens.
Mr. Fitzgerald attended schools at East New Market and Hurlock. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 until 1951. In September of 1954 he married the former June B. Jones. She passed away on June 11, 1993. Mr. Fitzgerald worked for Triangle Oil Company at Easton for 37 years as sales supervisor and expeditor.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Hoffman, Bunky Bell, Art Wilkerson, Tom Pleasants, Donald Jones and Theodore Cephas.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Dorchester Memorial Park with Rev. William Davis officiating. Memorial contributions can be made in his name to the East New Market Volunteer Fire Company Building Fund, P.O. Box 280, East New Market, MD 21631. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
