William Hugh Fountain

William Hugh Fountain, 74, of Cambridge passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Mallard Bay Care Center. He was born in Cambridge on November 4, 1937 and was the son of the late William S. and Madaline Cook Fountain.
Mr. Fountain attended Cambridge High School. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1955 until 1957. On September 27, 1958 he married the former Jean Brubaker. Mr. Fountain worked with Wise Oil and Fuel and retired in 1997. He enjoyed boating, fishing, crabbing and the companionship of his dog JR. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Jean B. Fountain of Cambridge, a daughter Cheryl L. Fountain of Edgewater, MD, an aunt Nellie F. Webster of Cambridge and several cousins.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Dorchester Memorial Park with Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
