William Frederick Gray, Jr.

William Frederick Gray, Jr., 67, of Cambridge passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024 at his home. He was born in Cambridge on July 24, 1956 and was a son of the late William Frederick Gray, Sr. and Miriam Jones Gray.

He graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1976. Mr. Gray served in the Army National Guard with 28 years of service and was called to active duty twice. He worked and retired from the City of Cambridge. Mr. Gray enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with his nephews. 

He is survived by two sisters Betty Feldmeier of Vienna and Charlotte Payne and husband Charlie of Cambridge, three nephews Charles Kirk Payne, Jeffrey Feldmeier and Brandon Feldmeier and several great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Gray is preceded in death by a brother-in-law Larry Feldmeier.   

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 1pm at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Randall T. Blackmon officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
