William E. McCulley

Bill McCulley, 40, of Lewisville, TX, passed away on November 5th, 2011. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Marlborough, MA on March 28, 1971 and was the son of James M. and Anneli K. McCulley.

After graduating from Marlborough High School in 1989, Bill attended the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland where he graduated in 1993 with a degree in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Spanish with Latin-American dialects. He received his commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps and served 6 years of active duty and 6 years in the Marine Corps Reserves reaching the rank of Major.

Bill worked as an electrical engineer at EFW (Elbit USA) in 1999, and designed power, interface, mixed-signal circuit boards for military vehicle and avionics platforms. In 2006, Bill moved to National Semiconductor, where he worked as a technical marketing and sales engineer for the first two years, and then as a staff applications engineer. His work included architecture and circuit design in customer support for National's opamps, ADCs/DACs, audio amps and subsystems, interface parts, and power products. In 2011, Bill transferred to Avnet, where he worked as a Technology Specialist in support of National Semiconductor.

Bill and his family attended the Calvary Chapel Fort Worth in Ft. Worth, TX.

Bill is survived by his wife, Eva Maria, and three sons - Paul, Joshua, and Andrew; his mother, Anneli McCulley of Marlborough, MA; and two brothers, Conrad McCulley of Atlanta, GA, and Matthew McCulley of Alexandria, VA. Bill is preceded in death by his father James M. McCulley.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 1 p.m. in the Calvary Chapel Fort Worth, 5617 Diamond Oaks South, Fort Worth, TX 76117. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's PE Cemetery in Vienna, MD. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge, MD.
