William B. "Bill" Pohl, 72, of Easton passed away on Friday, August 13, 2010 at Memorial Hospital at Easton. He was born in Cambridge on January 16, 1938 and was a son of the late Henry Pohl and Louise Burton Wolf.
Mr. Pohl graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1957. He worked for E.I. DuPont in Seaford where he retired. He was married to the former Mary Collins. Mr. Pohl enjoyed cutting grass around the neighborhood. He was a past member of the Easton YMCA.
He is survived by his wife Mary L. Pohl of Easton, three brothers Morris Pohl and family of East New Market, Frank Pohl and family of Cambridge and Randy Pohl and family of Cambridge, two sisters Kendra Nichols and family of East New Market and Betty Willey and family of Cambridge, sister in law and brother in law Huey and Sharon Erskine III and family of Easton and a aunt Mildred Booze of Cambridge. Besides his parents, Mr. Pohl is preceded in death by his stepmother Margaret Pohl.
Pallbearers will be Frank Pohl, Stephen Pohl, Doug Erskine, Huey Erskine IV, Morris Pohl, George Paugh and Kevin Pohl.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the First Wesleyan Church, 620 Goldsborough Street in Easton with Rev. Dustin E. Ives officiating. Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
