William Robert Wheatley

William R. Wheatley, 88, of Hurlock passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at his home. He was born in Cambridge on August 13, 1926 to the late James and Virgie M. Seward Wheatley.
Mr. Wheatley served in the U.S. Army during WWII. On July 28, 1951, he married the former Charlotte Hughes. He worked at Rob Roy for 32 years. Mr. Wheatley was a member of Unity Washington United Methodist Church in Hurlock.
Mr. Wheatley is survived by his wife Charlotte "Skippy" Wheatley of Hurlock. Besides his parents, Mr. Wheatley is preceded in death by his children Michael and Charlotte Wheatley.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 13, 2015 at 11a.m. at Dorchester Memorial Park with Rev. Emanuel Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
