William “Bill” O. Foxwell, 69, of Secretary passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017 at UMSMC at Dorchester. He was born in Cambridge on April 9, 1948 and was a son of the late James O. Foxwell, Sr. and Betty Johnson Foxwell.
Bill had many pursuits in life, a pilot, fisherman and an artist of stained glass. He was a top notch BSER, who had a broken heart made of pure gold. He loved his family, but most of all his friends. They helped fill the many losses in his life. The family thanks you all. Bill was a believer in Jesus Christ, who had his hand Thursday evening, the instant his vehicle hit the water. He is safe and whole in Heaven.
He is survived by a sister Cindy A. Stevens and husband Russ of Hurlock, two nieces Kristi Stevens Shaw and husband Bryan of Easton and Kellie L. Stevens of New York, an uncle Leonard Foxwell and wife Janice of Cambridge and several cousins. Besides his parents, Bill is preceded in death by a daughter Kathryn Foxwell Murray and a brother James O. Foxwell, Jr.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 1 to 3 pm at Suicide Bridge Restaurant’s Pavilion, 6304 Suicide Bridge Road, Hurlock, MD 21643. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to UMCOR.ORG-US Disaster or mail to P.O. Box 9068 NY, NY 10087-9068 and please put in the memo 901670. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
