William "Bill" H. Harding

William “Bill” H. Harding, 92, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Cambridge on August 26, 1925 and was a son of the late Preston and Bessie Davidson Harding.

Mr. Harding graduated from Cambridge High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. On June 24, 1955, he married the former Mary Lou Andrews, who passed away on February 25, 2018. Mr. Harding worked at Nathan’s Furniture Store and later at Part’s Whole Sale. He also worked with his daughter, when she had her floral shop the Flower Shack. Mr. Harding was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, where he served as treasurer of the Men's Bible Class. He also coached Cambridge Little League in the early 80's.

He is survived by his two children Karen Bowers and Kevin Harding both of Cambridge, four grandchildren Jonathan Brittingham, Jackilynn Walls, Nathan Harding and Ellie Harding. Besides his parents, Mr. Harding is preceded in death by three brothers Clarence Harding, Waddell Harding and Warren Harding, Sr. and two sisters Dorothy Comstock and Shirley Wilson.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Harding, Nathan Harding, Jonathan Brittingham, Jackilynn Walls, Robert Wagoner and Allen Hoge.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 2 pm at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Joel Beiler officiating. Family will receive friends from 12 to 1 at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge. Memorial contributions can be made to Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
