Jamie L. Ellis, 38, of Rhodesdale passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. She was born on July 23, 1974 in Cambridge and was a daughter of James A. Windsor and Shelly Adams Landon.
Jamie graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School class of 1992. On August 14, 2004, she married Craig Ellis. At the time of her passing, Jamie was employed by the Eastern Shore Psychiatric Center in Easton. She enjoyed going shopping and reading.
Jamie is survived by her husband Craig Ellis of Rhodesdale, a son Michael Ellis of Rhodesdale, her mother Shelly Landon of Rhodesdale, her father James Windsor of Hoopers Island, a sister Mary Abbott and companion J.D. Hill of Cambridge, maternal grandmother Barbara Adams of Cambridge, paternal grandparents Crawford Windsor and Mary Lou Windsor of Crocheron, a sister and brother in law Sabrina Schanken and husband Ed of Hurlock, in laws Ernie Ellis and wife Brenda of Severn, MD and Bill and Pat Plank of Hurlock, two step brothers, three nephews, five nieces, a god child and several aunts and uncles. Jamie is preceded in death by a very special stepfather Bernie Landon and a maternal grandfather Harold Adams.
Pallbearers will be J.D. Hill, Ed Schanken, Ernie Ellis, Tim Foskey, Donald Robbins and Scott Tucker.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Open Bible Church with Rev.'s David J. Wooten, Jr. and Ray Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the Eldorado-Brookview Volunteer Fire Company, 5752 Rhodesdale-Eldorado Road, Rhodesdale, MD 21659. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
