Melissa Sue (Travers) Travers
February 20, 1982 — October 4, 2017
Melissa S. Travers, 35, of Cambridge passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at UMSMC at Easton with her family by her side. She was born in Easton on February 20, 1982 and was a daughter of Angela Dorrell Watson and the late Benny Travers.
Melissa attended schools in Pasadena and continued on to complete Message Therapy through Everest University in Orlando FL. On February 7, 2009, she married Michael Kording. Melissa was employed at Denny's until her health started to fail. She was a loving mother and she also enjoyed coloring, drawing, writing and poetry.
She is survived by her husband Michael Kording, three children Michaela, Peyton and Tristin, her mother Angela Watson, a sister Myara Rookard, an aunt Patty Mowbray and husband Ryan and a uncle Frankie Dorrell and wife Stephanie and several cousins. Besides her father, Melissa is preceded in death by a brother Benjamin Wright, Jr.
A celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 1 pm at Bay Country Church with Pastor Jayson Bleyer officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Thomas Funeral Home, P.A., 700 Locust Street, Cambridge, MD 21613 to help defray funeral cost.
